Sundays 10: 45 am
3400 Central Ave Great Falls, MT
Welcome
There are lots of Bible believing churches in central Montana. What makes us different?
We start with a conviction that the Bible must shape every aspect of our life. This is the fundamental way to honor the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore we believe in things like God’s absolute sovereignty in salvation, a plurality of elders leading the church, a commitment to church discipline and peacemaking, and men being led by men.
The Good News
Christianity is all about Good News. However, there is a problem: a lot of folks think they are safe now; they think they are Christians. That’s because Christ’s Good News has been distorted. In reality, the Good News, starts with bad news. Every person is in great danger! In fact, every person is already so diseased the Bible calls us “dead.” But our Lord has paid the price to change us, forever. So, who knows the joy of being changed? According to Jesus, only the few who discover His narrow gate and difficult way.
What's a Family-Integrated Church?
A family-integrated church is one where, more often than not, all children remain with their parents during church meetings. Such a church still creates times for parents to be away from their children, but only under unusual circumstances (for instance, to discuss delicate issues). Such a church encourages those without young children to assist those with children during church meetings, so everyone is able to worship and learn.
Visiting
If you’re in Great Falls for a visit, consider stopping at Cornerstone, we’d love to see you!

Get Connected
One of the best way to connect with other believers is to meet them and the best way to meet them is to show up where they are. We are always glad to meet new people!

Church Elders

Joseph Moyer
Joseph has ministered with Cornerstone since 2000. He is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. Pastoral ministry runs in his family—he is from a line of pastors stretching back to the late 1800’s. He also ministered four years with Jews for Jesus in their “Department of Mobile Evangelism” and a year as a missionary in North Wales. He has a Master of Christian Studies degree from New College Berkeley and a Master of Divinity degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Cindy, homeschooled their five children, start to finish. They are all adults now. Joseph and Cindy’s fourth grandchild was born in 2020.

David Odom
The Lord saved David as a child. He saw his need to extend his Christian education beyond what he received in church as he grew up in central Texas. He attended Montana Wilderness School of the Bible outside of Augusta in 1983 and fell in love with Montana. He also met his wife there and they were married in 1987. They were blessed with two boys and one girl. Their daughter also attended MWSB and became the first student whose parents were both alumni. As of 2021 they have nine grandchildren. In 2014 David and Tammy were able to move to Montana permanently, Lord willing. David has a passion to build healthy marriages and disciple men to maturity in Christ.
Creation. Redemption. Restoration.
Our History
Cornerstone Bible Church has served the Lord in Great Falls since December 1960. We called ourselves “Westside Baptist Church” because we were located on the west side of Great Falls and the Missouri River and were very committed to the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).
Since about 2003 we became very cautious of involvement in the SBC due to issues of doctrine (especially the sufficiency of Scripture, the independence of the local church and how to disciple the nations to Christ). April 2019 we sold our big property in order to downsize and focus on ministry rather than maintaining facilities (the latter is not a biblical priority). We moved to the east side of Great Falls and changed our name to specifically glorify Christ and His Word rather than our location and some denomination.
September 2024 our members decided Cornerstone must leave the SBC because of its leaders’ growing support for women as pastors. We are now exploring other opportunities for fellowship, especially with reformed Baptist churches.

GIVING
We encourage you to remember these basic Scriptures on our privilege of giving to the Lord’s work:
Malachi 3:8-12:
“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the LORD of hosts; and all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts.
2 Corinthians 8:1-5:
Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.
2 Corinthians 8:8-9:
I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7:
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
